Ronnie Graves

Co-founder, President and Transport Manager

Ronnie has worked for 34 years as a Human Orthotist and Prosthetist and 16 of
those years as an animal Orthotist and Prosthetist. He has worked on all types of animals, including a 1 ½ lb dog, a goose, and a baby elephant! Ronnie and his wife of over 30 years are the owners of Prosthetics Research Specialists, Inc. in Bushnell, Florida. Together they have operated PRS helping human amputees all around the world. In 2012, Ronnie began Veterinary Inclusive Prosthetics, to fill a need in the veterinary community.  His techniques have given him the ability to create braces and limbs for animals that, in the past, would have been euthanized. Ronnie co-founded Sumter Disaster Animal Response Team (SDART) in 1998 during the wildfires that crippled Florida. SDART began to get really active in 2004 and it has stayed that way ever since. The 501c3 not for profit organization has helped THOUSANDS of animals in NUMEROUS natural and manmade disasters since its inception. Most of that work has been through its transport work…moving animals safely and professionally in specially built transport vehicles that Ronnie has worked tirelessly to build. In 2013, SDART changed its name to Florida Disaster Animal Response and Transport (FLDART) to bring the transport aspect to the forefront.
